Darkest Kiss Ch.2

"Rose, wake up and stop being lazy." Jareth shouted through the door.
"Alright, alright. I'm up."  I hollered. I got up and dressed in my normal black clothes. Today I wore a black mini skirt and a black halter top. As I left my room I heard Jareth whistle at me.
"If  I wanted a cat call I'd have worn lingerie out." I said as I walked into the bathroom to do my makeup. Leo laughed at the look on Jareth's  face.
"Shut up, catboy." Jareth growled. I came out in a record time of thirty-three seconds.
"Behave, Jareth. Jeez y'all fight like cats and dogs...heh Jareth is a puppy~" I giggled as I went toward the kitchen for something to put in my stomache. Just cause I'm a vampire don't mean I don't still enjoy my pizza.
"Gross. How can you stand that stuff, Rosealinda? It smells disgusting." Leo complained as he walked in.
"Easily. I love the taste. And don't look at me like that...I'm sure I'm not the only vampire that still likes human food..." I looked at him and he just grinned. Jareth chuckled.
"I don't like human food anymore...so I think you are the only vampire that likes eating that human crap." He grinned at me then came and hugged me. "But it's okay cause I love you for being different~." He kissed my cheek then backed away.
"hm... Shouldn't we be going? I have to find a new feeder and Jareth has to find one. Leo, let's go." I said with an unnatural calmness that would send shivers down a humans spine. And off we went.
This time when we got there more girls where flocked around Leo. It irritated me.
"um...excuse me? A-are you the one they all say is a Dark One?" A smaller blonde boy asked me. I grinned and replied.
"yes I am. My name is Rosealinda. Whats yours?" I wrapped one of me arms around his shoulders and played with his long hair. He looked up at me with his bright gold eyes and smiled.
"My name is Kristian. And I would like to be your next feeder." He said fiercely. I laughed and hugged him.
"You're so small and you have the bravery of a dragon. Of course you can be mine. You offered yourself willingly and I admire that. One question though, how old are you?" I looked down at him and watched him think for a moment as if he was going to lie to me. "If you don't tell me now I'll find out later and that will cost you." I let my eyes flash red momentarily.
"I-i am fourteen. You look like you like to dance...shall we?" He held his hand out to me like a proper gentleman. I smiled and took his offer. We danced in circles for what seemed to be an eternity til he finally got tired.
"I'm sorry for being  such a weak human..." He said in between gasps of breath. I chuckled then pulled him to my chest so he could hear the heartbeat I shouldn't have.
"Don't worry. I get tired eventually. It just takes a lot to tire me." I looked down at him and he had fallen asleep to the sound of my unnatural hearts beating. I pulled him onto my lap and sat there holding him to me. I didn't know why but this felt natural to me. I'm only seventeen in human years...well, turning eighteen. How can my body already seem to know that it wishes for children that can never be born?
A few hours after the club had closed and the sun had risen, Kristian woke up and looked directly at me. He looked as if he was puzzled then he remembered who I was. I was ready to let him go but he pulled himself closer and moved his hair to where his lightly tanned neck was exposed.
"You should have feed on me while I was sleeping...Here, you must be hungry." He said trying to keep his voice calm. I smiled apologetically, for a reason I didnt know. I leaned down and bite into his slender neck and heard him gasp out in pain.
"The first time is always the worse. It will get better." I said as I pulled away from him and licked the blood off my lips.
"You wanna know something strange...you remind me a lot of my big sister, Rosie. She went missing awhile ago though and they haven't been able to find her. But I'm glad I can help someone. It's bad enough my mom won't let me go very far from home but...I sneak out sometimes." He looked up at me and gave me a kiss on the cheek. I felt tears go down my face but tried to stop them immediately before he could see them but it was too late.
"Why are you crying, Rosealinda? Was it something I said? I thought vampires couldn't cry..." By the time he finished I had stopped those tears that betrayed me.
"Normal vampires can't cry. But if you haven't noticed I'm not normal. I have a heartbeat where others don't. And I don't know why I cried. That happens sometimes. I can usually control it. But I need some sleep. Good night, Kristian." I curled up on the couch I had been sitting on and fell asleep.
I woke up the next night to the loud death metal the club happened to be playing at the particular moment. Kristian walked over to me and kissed my cheek.
"Good morning, Rosealinda." He said with a bright smile on his face.  I stood up and stretched then leaned down and gently nipped at his neck.
"Good night, Kristian." I giggled at the horrible joke and walked away to find Leo and Jareth.
I found Jareth with a dark haired girl. He had her against the wall and was kissing her neck. I could her the girls pleads for more from a few feet away.
"Jareth. I see you found a pretty girl to be your meal." I grinned as I watched him turn around with inhuman speed and stare at me in shock.
"You're okay? You didn't leave us or get burned?" He hugged me.
"Jeez. Do you think I'm stupid enough to go out in the sunlight at all? I was here all day. My feeder fell asleep on me. Literally." I pulled myself away from him.
"Where's Leo?" I asked him with slight annoyance because his little girl was glaring at me and cussing at me under her breath.
"I don't know...When did I become his keeper?" He pushed the human back away from me knowing I wasn't going to listen to her jealous bullshit much longer. I shrugged and went off to find my lion. Which turned out to be quite a task.
